@02:29Moreover, the assumption that you need or want pity is an extra burden, because then you are deemed ungrateful when you reject that which you never asked for in the first place. Glad you enjoyed the promo! See [link] for more exploration of these themes ;)

@02:29This is a lovely little teaser. What he's saying makes sense. "I'm sorry" does get old so quickly. Pity is a weight, no one needs to carry 100lbs of it, but 5 keeps you in shape.

@04:03that's kinda what Bill is all about, making people think and ask questions. his site [link] is pretty cool and has a lot of information (though it is kinda dense). If you want to see some of his ideas explored a little more, I uploaded CRUTCH 2007 on dA as well
[link] It gets into more of his performance art where he really forces people to stop and ponder. Thanks for watching!

@00:29this is a powerful statement, the man who helped him up now turning away to cross himself, either to 'bless' the 'disabled' or to 'bless' himself against the 'disability' ..a wonderful capture in the moment.

as well, the far off bystanders who have turned to watch him, the whole moment right in this few seconds shows the isolation of a 'disability'.

@00:29Great observations! DB Griffith shot that sequence as part of a short film and recently spoke about it in NYC at IFC. He said that the guy helping Bill and then crossing himself was completely unplanned. And so true, who/what is he blessing...?
